AsimCDFS 3.5 is a third generation CD-ROM control software that seamlessly integrates CD-ROM technology into the Amiga operating system. AsimCDFS 3.5 provides all the features you need to get the most from your CD-ROM drive.

The AsimCDFS 3.5 package, which consists of AsimTunes, AsimCDFS, CDTV and CD32 emulation modules, FishMarket CD and a Preferences Editor, allows the user to access CD-ROM discs with an Amiga computer and a supported CD-ROM drive.

AsimTunes 3.0 Combines advanced playback features, such as Random Ordered, Sequential Play, A-B cuts, and direct track/disc naming, cataloguing and disc identification. Audio can be played through the CD-ROM drive as 16-bit audio or through the standard Amiga audio hardware as 8-bit audio.

Full support for Kodak and Corel PhotoCD discs has been integrated into AsimCDFS. Colour workbench icons, transparent conversion to 24-bit IFF and support for resolutions up to 3072 x 2048 are now standard. The conversion process from PhotoCD to IFF is handled internally by AsimCDFS, which allows the user to effortlessly integrate PhotoCD images into any IFF-compatible program without the hassles of separate conversion steps.

Direct reading of 16-bit audio samples from standard CD-Audio discs is possible with AsimCDFS 3.5. The digital audio data is presented via standard AmigaDOS files and is available in three different file formats AIFF, MAUD and raw. Since the audio samples are always in the digital domain, no sound distortion occurs.

CDTV and CD32 emulation are now included with the AsimCDFS 3.5 package. Simply insert your favourite title, re-boot and enjoy.

Also included is FishMarket, a CD-ROM disc packed with public domain Fred Fish disks. This invaluable resource contains thousands of programs for every user. All AsimCDFS options can be set via an interactive preferences editor.
